National 2-1-1 Awareness Day

National 2-1-1 Awareness Day

With the launch of 2-1-1 SEPA two years ago today, residents of the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region have gained access to free, confidential health and human services in their local communities.

By dialing a free, easy-to-remember phone number, 2-1-1 callers reach trained specialists who identify their needs and offer them information on thousands of programs and services that specialize in meeting critical basic needs such as food and housing; physical and mental health resources; employment supports; assistance for older adults and people with disabilities; and support for children, youth and families.

As we celebrate National 2-1-1 Awareness Day and the beginning of our third year in service, United Way would like to say thank you for joining our 2-1-1 network.

In 2014, more than 21,000 callers dialed 2-1-1 seeking assistance, and the online database was accessed by over 13,000 users. The data collected through the 2-1-1 system is actively helping to identify prevalent community needs throughout the region.

We are excited to share our 2-1-1 data report for 2014, which tracks call volume, top service requests, calls by county and latest news over the last year! Also, please visit our Media Center to download monthly, quarterly and yearly call reports.

2-1-1 SEPA is made possible in part by generous support from Bank of America and Philadelphia Energy Solutions.
